Ioana Teleanu is a design leader, educator, and influential voice at the intersection of artificial intelligence and product design. Known for her work shaping the emerging discipline of AI-powered UX, she has become one of the most widely recognized educators and creators in this space, followed by a global community of over 300,000 designers across Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads & co.

Her path into AI began long before the hype cycle. Ioana entered the automation and AI landscape in 2019, joining UiPath just as intelligent workflows started to transform enterprise software. There, she worked across automation products, eventually becoming the Lead Product Designer for Clipboard AI, a tool that reimagined the simple act of copying and pasting data. The product went on to win TIME Magazine’s Best Invention of 2023, recognizing its creative approach to interaction design / an achievement that also earned Ioana her first US design patents for pioneering AI-driven patterns.

In 2022, Ioana launched AI for Designers on the Interaction Design Foundation. The course quickly became one of the platform’s most popular and fastest-growing programs, now taken by tens of thousands of students across 100+ countries. It established her as one of the earliest and most influential educators explaining how AI is reshaping design practice / long before most teams had begun their AI transitions.

In 2023, Ioana joined Miro as the company’s first Product Designer dedicated to AI, shaping the direction, interactions, and behaviors of the Intelligent Canvas. She led the design work on the early AI feature set, navigating Miro’s open-ended, multi-modal creative space and building some of the foundational AI interactions the platform now relies on. Her role blended research, product strategy, and entirely new design paradigms—an experience that pushed her deeper into the frontier of agentic systems, multimodal interfaces, and AI-native workflows.

Alongside her industry work, Ioana has grown UX Goodies into one of the largest design communities in the world. What began as a small educational Instagram page in 2018 evolved into a thriving hub for designers learning, debating, and navigating a rapidly changing digital landscape. people praise her for her clear thinking, accessible explanations, and ability to translate complex ideas into meaningful insights (even though she doubts all of this constantly).

Her impact extends to the global stage. Ioana is also a speaker who has delivered talks and keynotes at leading conferences, including SXSW (Austin), GitNation Amsterdam, Interface Canada, C3 Festival, Growth Marketing Summit Frankfurt, Prompt UX Berlin, Hotsauce New York, and many more. Her talks blend practical insight with philosophical depth, focusing on the future of human creativity, the role of designers in an AI-shaped world, and the ethics of intelligent systems.

In 2025, Ioana founded AI-R Design Studio, her independent consultancy dedicated to helping startups and large organizations build world-class AI products. Through AI-R, she advises teams on AI experience strategy, multimodal interfaces, prototyping, workflows, and the emerging paradigm landscape. The studio also serves as the home of her larger creative ecosystem, including AI Design OS  / a growing body of knowledge, frameworks, and principles she is building to define the craft of designing intelligent products.Today, Ioana splits her time between consulting, teaching, speaking, and creating educational content.
